This scent is like sticking your face in a sweet, fresh evergreen. That is literally what it was tested against during development! It's a deep breath of green and forest and calm, with an edge of rain on wood. The finish of oakmoss is classically masculine-leaning sexy (but smells great on all genders, IMHO).

Does the scent contain florals?
Even natural floral materials can cause issues for sensitive folks, and we want you to have options, so Forest is formulated with NO florals.
Will it linger on your skin?
Natural perfumery stays closer to your skin as it dries down, and Forest will linger for 4-6 hours (or more), depending on your body's unique chemistry.
Does the scent project away from your body, or stay close to your skin?
Our scents have moderate projection by design, and don't leave a "cloud" lingering behind you, but they can absolutely be smelled by others. Your scent presence is determined by strength and location of application, and you can expect Forest's projection to last 1-2 hours.
The method of application for scents can influence how they smell! Our spray and rollerball are the exact same formulation - both alcohol-based - but the rollerball may project a bit less and be a little lighter on the top notes. Overall the scent is the same, but spray will give you the truest representation of the scent. Rollerball is great for travel, freshening up your scent and allows you to control the placement of your scent more precisely.
TRIAL FIRST! All Dear Dylan scents come with a small tester, so you can explore the scent before committing to it. We recommend dabbing on the front and back of both wrists, and smelling over a period of several hours. Different areas of skin can interact differently with scent, even from left to right side of the body. This will allow you to experience the top, middle, and base notes as they evaporate, to see if it's the right scent for you.
FULL APPLICATION can vary by preference! Pulse points (inside of wrists and neck), heart chakra (breastbone), a couple sprays in the hair - all are great ways to enjoy our scents.

Dear Dylan was created to provide safe scent for people with sensitivities and migraines! However, because everybody is different and has different triggers, it's impossible to predict 100% how our scents will affect your unique body. To help navigate that, we increase the odds of you finding a safe fragrance in multiple ways.
• 100% plant-based. We follow the tenets of natural perfumery, using only essential oils, absolutes, and natural isolates (extractions from natural material). Our formulas are based in organic sugarcane alcohol. NO SYNTHETICS, NO PARABENS, NO PTHALATES.
• Scents with no and limited floral ingredients, clearly marked. Even in their natural form, florals can be a common trigger for sensitivities. We list ALL ingredients, so that you can make informed choices based on your own history.
• Trial testers with every bottle. We send along a small tester with every purchase, so that you can try the scent and still return the (unopened) full-size bottle if it doesn't work for you.
